General orientation
over
Now the general orientation at University of Zambia (UNZA) is over, it has been
10 fun days! We have bonded so much, and I’m so happy to have met so many great
people. 20 Africans who will live 10 months in either Norway or another country
in Africa, and 11 Norwegians who will work/live in Zambia or Zimbabwe. The last
few days we have had a lot of discussions, everything from what is the best
soda of Fanta and Coke, to gay marriage. It’s been fun, frustrating and eye
opening at the same time. Yesterday it was our last night all together, since
those who are going to Norway and Zimbabwe left this morning. So we went out
and danced. It was great fun and I am going to miss the times we gather around
in a ring and one and one comes in to show off some dance moves.
Now we will have 2 days of Specific Orientation (SO) here at
UNZA before my new family will pick me up.
I’m posting a youtube video from Saturday on the field and some pictures from
last night.
