It's been 14 months since I arrived Norway after lliving 3.5 years in UK and Africa, I'm now back on the horse. (Travelling, not living abroad).
When I got my first solid paycheck in July since quitting as a personal trainer I could finally afford a ticket to the States. I booked the ticket about 4 weeks ago, and now I'm in my "second home country".
This weekend was kinda busy. On Saturday 29th of August I went to a beautiful wedding in Hol (about 4-5 hours drive from Evenstad).
My good friend Hilde, who I worked with in Molde got married to the Dane, Niklas.

Went for a run in the ski resort. Beautiful view |
After the party I went to bed for a few hours. At 4:45 AM omn Sunday I was back on the road, driving to Bergen Airport. When checking in, I found out I had lost my Debit card, thankfully I have a Credit card so I should be fine for now.
The flight from Bergen to London Heathrow (LHR) went fast. I slept during the majority of the flight.
When arriving LHR I start working on my studying. I have borrowed a small laptop from a friend so I can punch in all the data we collected last week. It's a lot of data.

Listening to Papa Roach while working on the laptop |
It feels strange to be back in the States without visiting my family from 05/06. It's been 5 years since I last met them, and I have promised them that I will visit them soon. I was busy working all summer, so I couldn't make it to Washington. But I'll be back, I promise :)

Almost LA! |
I arrived LA last night, and found a nearby hotel. The fist thing that struck me was the heat, but it's been getting less hot the last few days. I heard the news that it's under 100 degrees (F) for the first time in a while. I took a cold shower (I appreciate them more here than in Evenstad) before going for a walk.
I stumbled in a petrol/gas station which sold all the "American stuff" like M&M, Hershey bars, energy drinks, Mountain Dew, Arrowhead water, Peanut butter cups and so on. So many memories from 05/06 in LaCrosse Washington comes back to me.
I went to bed, without the aircondition on, (but open window). The traffic outside could not keep me awake for long, and I slept for about 11 hours, almost missing the breakfast.
I just want to say I don't like air conditioners, since they can make you sick, and that's the last thing I want to get. So thats why I rather sleep with a window open than with the AC on.

Hotel breakfast in LA. Bagels and creamcheese |
I woke up 9:29, and the breakfast closes at 9:30 so I got to the breakfast hall in a hurry. I grabbed a couple of bagels with creamcheese and a muffin. Typical American breakfast.
After breakfast I went for a run in the hood, but there are a lot of traffic lights here, so I had to find a park.

Looking for -wood, on my run |

Found a "Advanced Timber Challenge" course. Got to do some exercises :) |
Finally I found a park, which actually got a obstacle course. I did some chins and jumps until I had to run back to check out of the hotel.

Seychelles:D |
In just a few hours I'm back at the airport, continuing my travelling.
When I arrived LAX last night, the lady behind the desk asked me why I¨m travelling to my destination (on my own, and with no luggage?) I answered: "Because why wouldn't I?". She said: "Thats what I would say too" and gave me a smile.
If you are still wondering where I'm going, I'll let you know in the next blogpost tomorrow. With more photoes
